Best selling author and researcher, Shaunti Feldhahn joins me for Episode 78. I was honored to have her join me at my kitchen table. She’s written many books including For Women Only and For Men Only. And for today’s topic, we talked about the research she did for her book, “Through A Man’s Eyes: Helping Women Understand The Visual Nature of Men.” We took a deep dive into understanding how men are wired. We talk about why they are wired visually, how to help support the men in your life and how to help your son live with the brain they were given.

I hope you enjoyed my conversation with Shaunti. I love people who can take research and make it relatable and conversational. My biggest takeaway was the idea of empathy—putting myself in their shoes. Because when we can put ourselves in their shoes, we can learn how to better support them when it comes to this topic. She said, “We are never going to get further intimacy with a man if we don’t try to talk about this.” Now, I bet the idea of talking about this subject with your husband or son makes you cringe or makes you want to crawl under the kitchen table. But what if you decided to talk about it. What if you decided to ask them what they think or feel? What if you decided to extend empathy and compassion towards them? Maybe a deeper intimacy is on the other side.

What did you enjoy about this episode? What was your takeaway. Let's continue the conversation  on Instagram or Twitter or you can send me an email here

Thank you for following along life with me. I love being apart of your day. And as always, I hope this show helps you survive a little easier.
